Our Story
Albany Blu is a dual group created in 2012. R & B singers Tahiem Washington & Litty Lee are both signed to Outlet Records. Tahiem was born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in Albany projects. Hence, creating the group name called Albany Blu. Albany projects is where Tahiem’s musical persona developed. Early in his musical career, he learned how to play instruments such as the piano & the trumpet. When you listen to Albany Blu’s music, you hear sounds from the late 90’s-2000’s.
Litty Lee was born in East, Tennessee. He began singing at the age of 8. He believes Rhythm & Blues best represents his musical sound. This is how the word “Blu” was created from Albany Blu. Litty’s musical influence derives from listening to Genres such as Usher, Sisqo & Michael Jackson. He is inspired by Michael Jackson’s dance moves which drive him to be an impeccable dance performer on stage.
